Advocacy & Human Rights

Bail Sponsorship Project (in Collaboration with Headfort Foundation)

The Bail Sponsorship Project is a human-rights intervention created to support indigent individuals who remain in detention simply because they cannot afford bail. Many detainees are held for minor, bailable offenses, yet lack the financial resources or legal representation needed to secure their release.

Through this project, FECY Foundation — in partnership with Headfort Foundation, a leading legal aid and justice advocacy organization — identifies eligible detainees, processes their bail, and provides legal support to ensure their fair and lawful release. The project restores dignity, prevents prolonged detention, and reunites individuals with their families.

Impact:
✅ Secured the release of individuals unlawfully or unjustly detained.
✅ Provided legal aid, bail payments, and rights awareness through Headfort Foundation’s legal team.
✅ Restored hope, dignity, and family unity for beneficiaries.
