The FECY Food Bank Project is an ongoing initiative aimed at supporting students in need, with the successful completion of its first phase marking a significant milestone.
Held at Market Square, Ekpoma, the first phase of the project focused on reaching students who are quietly facing financial and food insecurity. Through the distribution of essential food items, the initiative provided timely relief and practical support to ease the everyday challenges many students experience.

Beyond the items shared, the outreach created an atmosphere of care and awareness. It served as an opportunity to recognize struggles that are not always visible and to respond with compassion and dignity. In some instances, urgent needs were identified and addressed immediately, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to being responsive and present.
The impact of the project was reflected in the words of beneficiaries:
“I didn’t think anyone noticed what I was going through…”
“God bless you for remembering people like us.”
These responses highlight the importance of sustained support—ensuring that students feel seen, supported, and not alone in their journey.

FECY Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to all volunteers, partners, and supporters who made the first phase of this project possible. Their contributions played a vital role in delivering this impact.
While the first phase has been successfully concluded, the FECY Food Bank Project continues. The Foundation remains committed to expanding its reach and supporting more students through future phases of this initiative.
